NetPilot Guardsman
NetPilot Guardsman is affordable even for the smallest businesses. It comes with VPN and security options to get organisations securely communicating across the internet. Guardsman comes in an attractive enclosure and being fanless, is suitably quiet for office environments.
Two Guardsman models are available. The 'Base' model come equipped with firewall and standard VPN software functionality. As the name suggests - the 'UTM' model - is shipped with UTM security. Both model types may be optionally upgraded at time of purchase, or at a later date, with the very latest SSL VPN Plus features.
A 12 month subscription to the latest Standard UTM pack is bundled in with the UTM model, offering the complete range of Unified Threat Management services. UTM Standard includes anti-virus for email, anti-spam, advanced firewall, software upgrade service and URL content filtering.
All new NetPilot models feature Solid State Storage (SSD). This technology is set to replace the traditional hard disk (HDD) and provides significant benefits over HDD. NetPilot is the first UTM appliance to incorporate SSD technology. SSDs are approximately ten times more reliable than hard disks and consume considerably less power. At the same time SSDs read and write data at 2 or 3 times the speed of hard disks. This means that the new NetPilots use less power and have much better performance than older models.
