2. BlueSocket Access Points

BlueSecure Access Points work in conjunction with the enterprise-class security and management provided by Bluesocket Controllers.

  • Standard PoE - BlueSocket Access Points deliver full MIMO functionality using standard PoE - not PoE Plus.  This can be a major cost savings as other vendors will require switch or power injector upgrades.
  • A Wi-Fi Certified, Centrally Managed WLAN Solution - BlueSecure Access Points have achieved Wi-Fi certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance, guaranteeing interoperability with all client devices to provide a high performance, centrally managed wireless LAN solution for enterprises.
  • Zero Touch, Plug-and-play Deployment - BlueSecure Access Points are completely plug-and-play, requiring no manual configuration.
  • Unmatched Security - Security features include local MAC authentication, 802.1x port-based authentication, Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP), Wireless Protected Access (WPA), and 802.11i (WPA v2) with multiple Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) methods for user authentication such as PEAP, FAST, TTLS, AKA, SIM and TLS.
  • Bluesocket DynamicRFTM - Constantly monitors the RF spectrum for RF noise, interference, coverage holes, and optimizes power and channel settings to ensure optimal performance.
  • RF IDS - Built-in RF IDS allows Bluesocket Access Points to find and contain Rogue APs, rogue clients, ad-hoc networks and a host of WLAN DoS and spoofing attacks that threaten the security of your network.

Bluesocket's family of BlueSecure Access Points includes several models designed to support the varying requirements of our customers.

BlueSecure Access Point 1840 - Datasheet

802.11n Access Point with six external antenna connectors.

The BSAP-1840 is offered in two models: 802.11a/b/g/n mode and 802.11abg mode with an 11n license upgrade option

BlueSecure Access Point 1800v2 - Datasheet

802.11n Access Point with 2nd generation internal MIMO antenna technology.

BlueSecure Outdoor Access Point 1600

Outdoor Access Point provides point-to-point or point-to-multipoint building-to-building bridge functions.

802.11n Access Points

The BSAP-1800 includes two 11n-based radios, a custom embedded antenna array and a GigE port to support dual concurrent 40Mhz streams to deliver market leading coverage and throughput.

The BSAP-1840 includes two 11n-based radios, six reverse SMA connectors and a GigE port to support dual concurrent 40Mhz streams. This model is suitable for deployments that have external antenna requirements..

Both the BSAP-1800 and BSAP-1840 support the 802.3af power standard with a single-port Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) solution.

vWLAN Bluesocket's 802.11n Access Points are required components in a vWLAN deployment.

The Bluesocket outdoor wireless utilizes 802.11a to support a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint building-to-building bridge function, while simultaneously using 802.11b/g to support wireless connection for outdoor user access. The outdoor AP is designed with a rugged weatherproof housing, a durable mounting bracket, and includes weatherproof Ethernet and console cables and a PoE power inserter.

  • Connect users outdoors with standard 802.11 access and wireless backhaul
  • 20km range when used in conjunction with high-gain outdoor antennas
  • Robust Outdoor Housing designed for harsh outdoor environments
  • Broad operating temperature range
  • Die-cast watertight housing
  • Easy Installation with included PoE adapter, outdoor mounting kit and weatherproof Ethernet and console cables
  • Embedded thermostat and heater for expanded operational temperature range
  • Manageable through SNMP,WEB GUI, or the BlueView Management System (BVMS)
