In a departure from the £99 SafeNet SoftRemoteLT client, the V4 and V5 Equiinet NetPilot products now support OpenVPN. This works in exactly the same way and uses SSL technology to encrypt a connection from remote workers back to the office LAN. Client software is free and available via the link below, please call your Account Manager at Westcom for assistance in setting up connections and creating a secure key for each connected user.
As users of SafeNet will know, previously all connections had to share the same key causing a problem if a member of staff left the business - no more, with OpenVPN a new key is generated with every connection.
