802.11n arrives at Westcom

The BSAP-1800 complements BlueSocket's existing 802.11n-ready BlueSecure Controller family providing 'n enabled' wireless clients to enjoy wireless connection speeds of up to 300Mbps. With 802.11n draft 2.0 WiFi Alliance certification BlueSocket ensures compatibility with the widest range of client adaptors.
Further, the unique ability of the BlueSocket WLAN solution to manage both BlueSocket Access Points and a wide variety of 3rd party access points has allowed customers to cost effectively transition from their existing WLAN environments to next-generation 802.11n networks without the need for an all-or-nothing infrastructure upgrade.
Westcom has already received orders from schools in the UK looking to enhance their wireless offering and provide greater coverage and higher throughput. The great news is that these connection speeds are available with any BlueSocket controller running V6.3 of the firmware - no further upgrades are required.
